This beautiful Dragonfly Sculpture was created by Kwakwaka wakw artist Rod Smith. It is carved from basswood and birch, painted in acrylic, and sits on a removable driftwood base.Â

The dragonfly, excluding the base, measures approximately 12 1 4 inches or 31 centimeters wide, 9 1 2 inches or 24 centimeters long, and about 5 inches or 12 1 2 centimeters thick. When placed on the driftwood base, the dragonfly and stand together measure approximately 12 1 4 inches or 31 centimeters wide, 10 1 2 inches or 26 1 2 centimeters long, and 7 1 4 inches or 18 1 2 centimeters high.
