Raven & Whale Totem Pole Hot on Sale

Description
This Totem Pole was created by Coast Salish artist Richard Krentz in the 1990 s and carries a unique history. It was commissioned by an individual who claimed and was verified to be a representative of the Louvre Museum in Paris. However, after the carving was completed, the pole was never claimed and Richard never heard from the man again. Richard Krentz raised the pole in front of his Comox Valley residence.Â
The pole measures approximately 14 1 2 feet or 4 1 2 meters long, up to 26 inches or 66 centimeters wide, and 15 inches or 38 centimeters deep.
In 2013 the Totem Pole was moved, raised, and blessed at Spirits of the West Coast Art Gallery. In 2024 totem pole carvers sawed off the lower rim to remove any rotted material and create a clean finish. We recommend viewing the pole personally.
